i recently purchased a 1983-b collectors series. it is a straight acoustic guitar. bill aka cwk2 said he thought they were all made as acoustic/electric. does anybody have an idea of whether this was an unusual special order or if ovation normally made a certain number of each collectors series in straight acoustic? i am still waiting for a reply from ovation re ukII production figures so i thought i'd start here with my ovaton amigos first re the 1983-b. but if anyone knows what the approx production figures for the ukII were i'd be interested in that too.

also are there any opinions on how much the installed electronics affect the pure acoustic sound of the guitar? ie does the same guitar sound a little better without all of that old style electronics in it?
