| i saw a pretty beat-up Breadwinner today, with HSC, relatively cheap...thing is, it's been refinished, poorly at that, looks like it was painted with a brush. where do the serial numbers appear on these things? anything in particular i should check for? looks like it would be a decent project, if only to have something different at completion... |

Location: The Great Pacific Northwest | The serial number should be on the neck plate. There were several models of Breadwinners and Deacons with different pickups and bridges and pre-amps (or not). If you can post a pic, that would be cool. |

They're single coils, right? yet they're humbucker-sized & have 2 sets of poles. I've seen them referred to as "torroidal" pickups, which would suggest circular coils. Any ideas?
