Location: Scotland | This has nothing to do with Ovations, but I thought it was interesting. I Just got in from doing sound for Kate McDonnell, a singer-songwriter from New York City, currently on tour in the UK. She has a great voice, writes well & is a very accomplished guitarist (notice guys, that I absolutely avoided adding the proviso "for a girl" to that statement)
Anyway, she plays an upmarket Taylor, a right-handed model, flipped over to left-handed, but without the strings reversed so the low E is nearest the floor (Like Elizabeth Cotten & Albert King) BUT...... she's actually right-handed!!!
How totally screwed-up is that????

Location: 6 String Ranch | The same way Albert King played and so many of the blues guys. Get some great bends(pulls actually) on the high E string! |

Location: Scotland | Bill, the old blues guys did that because they didn't know any better, they were left-handed, so they just flipped over a right-handed guitar. This girl is right-handed, but plays a right-handed guitar flipped over, left-handed with the strings upside-down. Bizarre!!!!!!!!

Went through this very lengthy (and expensive) sex change operation to become a woman......
....two years later she became a lesbian.

Location: SoCal | A friend of mine used to work in a gay hospice. The guys there told him that he should get in touch with his inner gay self. He told them that he did and she was a lesbian. True story. |

Location: Scotland | Bill, I asked her about it, she said she picked up a guitar when she was very young and copied a picture of a player holding a guitar, but mirrored it. Somebody told her she was doing it "wrong" but she said, and I quote "I was stubborn" That's women for you.
It's not PC to call them Lesbians, call them "Women who wear comfortable shoes"
