Location: Southern California | Is there a way to tell if a Balladeer is really right handed or a lefty that's been converted? The strap peg on my 1111 made in 1975 is under the neck when held right handed. Is that normal? Can I get a clue from looking inside at the bracing? |

Location: NJ | It's my understanding (though I am not anywhere NEAR as knowledgeable as others here), but early Balladeers DID have the peg on the "underside" of the neck.
I bought mine in '76, and it's on the other side. |

Location: 6 String Ranch | The strap button was put on the treble side. The A/E versions had the volume control on the bass side. This was the strap went out away from the knob. |

Location: 6 String Ranch | the brace patterns are only one way, no lefty or righty. If it was produced as a lefty the side markers on the fingerboard will be on the right side. |
