Location: Hot Springs, Arkansas | Hello, again, Lads. I just got my Adamas II (1983 Blue Burst) and it is absolutely the best. The sound is full and rich and the action, for me, is perfect. One thing I noticed, though, is that the top seems to have a very slight rippling. When I pass my palm over it, I can sense a couple of "ripples" where I suspect the braces are. As I said, the action is perfect and the bridge is stable and secure. But the ripples are something I've never noticed on other guitars I've owned. I know that the top on the guitar is extremely thin and wonder if that is the reason for the effect. Regular wood tops are what, 2 or 3x's thicker(?), and may have the same thing going on, but you wouldn't notice it because of that thickness. I'm curious about whether any other Adamas owners have noticed this. |

Location: 6 String Ranch | It happens sometimes, not a big deal. It won't get worse. If it does get it checked but I really doubt it will. You're right, it's because the top is so thin. It's like that wet T-shirt that is 2 sizes too small, well youse guys can figger out the rest. |
