O.K., I think I exhausted everyone with my questions about the 81 Legend I am still CONSIDERING! Now for something new;

I see at the Victor Litz link, they have a CV68-5 Black Viper on sale for $299.95. What can you guys tell me about this guitar? Perhaps I'm better off going with something like this, rather than trying to find a used one in good shape. It sure looks like a pretty piece of work, but does anyone know how they sound/play?

Thanks

Al also meant to add that the Celebrity Viper is made in Korea.

I must agree with Al about a preference for the USA models, however A friend of mine recently bought one of the Korean Vipers. It certainly doesn't sound a thousand bucks worse than the USA version I played a few weeks ago. The neck doesn't feel as nice, the frets need some work, intonation above the 12th is suspect & it doesn't exude the "class" of the US version, but it's pretty damn good. It's a very job-specific guitar, but if you need a solid-body acoustic there's nothing to touch it for $299.
