This is a bonus in that it allowed me to join your board, I have seen so much good and interesting information here, that Im sure you will continue to see the growth that you are seeing as other Ovationer's find it. By the way, if I got involved with your CD it would be "Old Roundfronts Playing Old Roundbacks" Bailey

Al if you think there are people here who don't like you, what if you were Pat Boone and had Little Richard as a member. I would like to see how Little Richard would shout on a bulletin board posting! The flames here are pretty cool compared to that. Keep producing all the good info that makes this board special. I hate when people come on to a message board to flame others or bait others and spew their special brand of ideology. Maybe it is too much to ask for people to be nice. I realize this is the nameless interet where people feel they can say anything and do anything with no consequences. If people feel that they need to do that I would prefer they participate in another forum.

I think part of that is that we do feel, in a small way, that we are starting to know one another. On that note, has anybody heard from Russ?

He probly found some pawn shop in Albequerque with 400 O's and took it upon himself to play every one..... with a Corona in between each...

"..poor bastard's been thatta way fer nearly four days now....damned if'n we can't get his fingers to stop movin'!...."

It's been raining all week with no sign of it letting up according to the locals... oh well.. A rainy day with the mouse, is better than just about any day elsewhere. Only thing.. there are all these little two-legged things running all over the place... who invited them!! You'd think this place was for kids or something.

Sorry, all I can report is various law enforcement entities with names beginning with FBI, ATF, etc. stationed at various road blocks with drawn guns, mumbling something about atrocious playing of our unique state music played on some commy plastic guitar which is corrupting our virginal groupies, and some mention of tar and feathers. There are drums in the distance, showing that our Indians are restless. I don't hold out much hope, as some Indian fathers of virgins are calling him Russ, the New Custer, whatever that means. I, as you might realize, am keeping a low profile. But if I see Russ I will make sure and tell him that I, and the rest of us must survive if the board is to go on. If he has to burn at the stake, be lynched etc. some of us have to have the courage to carry on without him. Protecting our freedom; Bailey :D

There was also a note in very fine print to the music shop owner to not include this book as a freebe in large credit purchases. No copy of this book was ever known to be returned for a refund. I used to have a copy and played them on my acoustic all the time, they didn't sound too good so I gave the book to an obnoxious Fender player who kept knocking my Viper. I haven't seen him since, some horrible accident was rumored to have happened at his next session with great stack of Marshalls. good luck Bailey :D

When he was in Nashville he always wore a beeper and parked in all the handicapped spots. He just left his picks on the dash.......

Joined: May 2002 Posts: 3005 Location: Las Cruces, NM | cwktwo The copy I gave to the obnoxious Fender player was found in the wreckage of the Marshalls by some guy named Ozzy Osbourne. It was found next to the scorched, splintered Fender neck with the left hand still holding it in the position of the third chord. (The only part of the player that could be identified, by the way). Also found were some intact mirror squares from the rotating ball above the dance floor showing the reflection of his face as he played the second chord. He had a sneer on his face just like Elvis! I don't know what became of the poor soul who found the book. Some things are best left a mystery. Bailey
