Location: Phoenix AZ | Has anyone on this board had the factory take an acoustic ovation and turn it into an acoustic electric (for example OP-24 electronics) and what do you think they charge. I have a 1117 Legend I'd like to "plug in".
I know someone will answer "call the factory" but that would require that I actually dial a phone. Playing on my computer while my boss is paying me to do work is much more satisfying.

I priced it about 10 years ago and the cost then was about $300. I kept my Legend and went out and found a 1537 Elite that already had the electronics. It might be easier to spend about 4 hundred bucks and buy a legend on ebay that already has what you want. |

You're right - picking up a used Legend AE is the logical and more cost effective thing to do. Problem is that I end up with two guitars and I am too deeply attached to my acoustic to part with it. I think I'll just sit tight for now. |

You don't necessarily have to cut holes in the bowl for pre-amps, that can be done just as well, if not better, with outboard gear.

You need to thin out that collection of guitars. How about starting with the blonde THead since you aren't going to be playing it anymore since you got your old THead back? |
