Location: SoCal | If memory serves, Standard Elites came out in the early to mid 90's and were a stripped down American made version of the Elite. They are not on the Ovation web page anymore because Ovation doesn't make them anymore. They were a good guitar. The first ones were kinda (IMHO) ugly with the one piece of wood around the sound holes, but they became quite attractive over the years. |

and came in sunburst
with no fingerboard inlay

Location: 6 String Ranch | I thought the epaulets were two piece?? In any case it was an attempt to take cost out and leave US quality in. |
