Snobs, yes there are Martin snobs. They are a pain in the ass. Has Martin fostered this? Yes. Have they done enough in their time to justify the attitude that they are the best? Also yes. So the point is I can handle Martin snobs because the product has earned it's stripes over the years.
That other company that was mentioned, I don't think they have.
And yes, I'm sure they were testing some good drugs the day they came up with this. If not they should have!

It looks like purplish-blue to me, but it's probably lavender. I'm frequently corrected about my colors.

I tried the Felix guitar and liked it too. But this thing is horrible.

Was picking up some mdi cables at GC last night and I spotted THIS ONE

It's actally a few hundred less expensive than the NUB (GC price was 699). I'd never tried one of these laminated top paint jobs before so I gave it a whirl, dead strings and all. I've got to say, for the money it's really not half bad. Probably in the neighborhood of an ovation import Ultra or something like that.

I've currently got an old Celebrity stapled to the high wall of the music room as a piece of 3D Artwork. I'm thinking maybe this 175th thing might look kind of cool up there. I mean the top actually IS art. Maybe need to see how far zit faced GC sales boy wants to drop trou.

I know some will think this guitar is ugly. That's OK.

I saw that guitar in my Martin catalog and thought the same thing. If I had a nice music room or a den (and a LOT of extra money) it would be cool to hang on the wall.

Those Orange County guys are just north of NYC, in Orange County, NY. For the longest time I thought it was in that hip / cool orange county in CA .... little did I know.

I thought the same thing until I saw an episode with all the leaves fallen off the trees and frost on the ground. Dave
