Location: NJ | My car broke down when I was in CT for the Hamer fan club. I spent a couple of extra days up there.
As some of you may know the Hamer factory and the Ovation factory share a building. I was up in engineering and found a Q that was strung up and picked it up and played it.
The guitar had a very nice feel and cut through the din of the crowd that was in the room although with a full room of people I could not make any real evaluation of the tone.
The electronics were unlike those in any other guitar and at I will not elaborate because I am not really sure I should have even pulled the guitar off the line to play it.
Other ovation news
they just sent a new mandolin to Steve van zant
and Rick Neilsen of cheap trick is having a mandocello made. |
