I am new to the board, and I am the proud owner of 2 Ovations, a 1615-4 Pacemaker, and a 1517-4 Ultra. I have a general question regarding the Korean built Ovations: Does anybody have a way of tying the serial numbers to the build dates? I have seen the one for the US built Ovations, and would like to know if the same would exist for the Korean/Japanese built Ovations (Ultras, Pinnacles, Celebritys, etc.).
Also, I need the bridge saddle, pickup, and preamp for the Ultra. Would anybody have the Ovation part numbers for these? Currently, the Ultra has a luthier made saddle, and the pickup/preamp are Fishman (donation from a friend). I'd like to get this back to factory original form.

Thanks for taking the time to send the information, although negative. I have emailed the
Canadian distributor for Ovation, and the best they can say is that the Ultras were made from the mid 1980s to early 1990s. I guess it can't be narrowed down any better than that. I would have thought that Ovation would have kept better track of the serial numbers than that, if just for warranty tracking purposes.
I'm going to see if I can get the proper part numbers for the bridge saddle, pre-amp and pickup from a local guitar dealer. The saddle that was luthier carved is not correct, the intonation
on the high E string is off. I can also use the current Fishman set up on one of my other guitars.
Yiasas.
