I just wanted to give this board another thanks.
On Oct.5th I posted I'm looking for my dream guitar. Today I picked up the "dream". I always wanted to play an early Adamas 12 let alone own one. I smiled when musicamex told stories of his new Adamas additions... If only that could be me... Well today it is. I've been smiling for 10 hours. Thanks again for the board and to those special people on the board.

Congrats on living your dream.

I came CLOSE to living my dream when I bought an Adamas II. It was damaged (repaird by Ovation) but still is the best sounding guitar I've ever owned!!!

Someday I WILL own a slot-head Adamas!

I know the feeling. Again congrats on owning a great guitar.

That is truly great, as some might have noticed, I have been lusting after a 12 string, and I think you have gotten one of the best ever built. Pick away and enjoy.

it's really great isn't it woz? last night was recording night at philo's and i did an acoustic set with a local song writer. i played my ss prototype 12 and it turned out to draw more attention than the star of the set. it's cool to pull out a guitar and watch the crowd begin to whisper to one another about it. when we finished the 5 song set philo played back the 12 string track by it self, and damn, that guitar sure makes me sound better than ever on an acoustic 12 string. i say acoustic because my brown bird 12 is equally as awesome as a solidbody. otra vez, muchisimas gracias hermano bill.

i want to do a group photo paul and it seems that every time i take a guitar out of the case i start playing it and then the next one-------before i know it i'm out of time. i promise it will eventually happen. maybe if i was more of a techie it would be easier......c'mon down and help me and you can play all 20 or so i have here. i still have several in new mexico too. there has to be some outlaw on the run you could track down here so you could write off the trip. i could introduce you to plenty at philo's.

got another gift fish marinating for the smoker paul. this time a little sailfish. i'll be in torrence again for a couple of days around nov 4. maybe we can finally do that burger and beer. do you have a zip drive? maybe i can bring some photos and you could help me figure out how to post them.

You're killing me Russ. You do realize that if I come down, I bring a wife, two kids, two dogs, a mess of Ovations and a desire to be a permanent houseguest. If you live on a large enough estate, I will provide security in exchange for room and board for my family.

estate? do jyou meen like like the feefty estates of the junion?

gheesh, even 300 pesos a day is alot down here.

your kids aren't old enough to be roadies yet are they? isn't one pretty new? i have two farms down here so there is plenty of room and one even has a palapa on it. plenty of fruit trees. hunting and fishing. what more does a guy need? i can see you now, stalking tlacquache (possum) in a sombrero with a snub nose 357 mag.

can you send pictures of your guitars, which of course would fit right in.

i am leaving for my farm in rio verde san luis potosi tomorrow so i might not be around to post fot a few days, but lets try to find a place we can meet near long beach if possible for a lunch on nov 4.

Moodyi,P.I. I forgot to blame / mention you in my quest for my "big blue". I think I found its twin. Having two teens at home and both musicians the traffic to see "my dads new guitar" has been almost funny. I wait that long awkward 40 secounds while they just admire it then ask if they want to play it. "Yea sure". Then I listen and watch as they play (show off) what they know... The look or expression (mostly smiles) as to what this guitar can do. I should be taking pictures. Still smiling.

That's very cool. How old is your 12 and how did you come upon it? What kind of electorics are on it? I find my self playing my Country Artist, Viper Deluxe, or Elite and not playing Big Blue. Then I'll pick it up and wonder why it's not always in my hands. It's the finest 12 I've ever played.

Congratulations, Woz!!

I LOVE when stuff like that happens!!

The past fews years I've been ACHING to get an Adamas 12-string to be the bookend to my Slothead, but haven't been able to swing it. There's just so much stuff out there to play that really needs that "12 sound". I even pondered "lowering my sights" a little and getting a Legend-12. In fact, I even had this very discussion with a good friend of mine last night at a bar over pints. His argument was "Why settle?...you WANT an Adamas....get an ADAMAS!!".
And he's right!! I just need to be patient and wait until my "Big Blue" presents itself on the market and I have the resources, etc.
As they say, "The best things in life.......worth waiting.....etc".
(Although, I must admit this "patience/planetary alighnment" crap is for the birds!!).

They're out there somewhere.

Congrats again Woz, on finding yours!!
Long May You Play.\

Patience is a good thing. Don't settle for less than what you truely want. Everybody here knows that I want a blonde Thead. I've almost settled for a Epiphone Sheraton, and right now there's a red Thead on ebay. I'm gonna wait. When I can afford it, the right guitar will be there. I firmly believe this.

Paul;
In my heart, I know you're right.
But everyonce in a while I'm reminded of that great cartoon of the two vultures waiting in a tree and one says to the other:
"Patience, my ass!....I'm gonna KILL something!!".
