Location: Texas | In 1974 I purchased my 1st ovation. I have played and loved this guitar since. I, however just came from the store and played a new hollow/electric and I'm in love again. The one I have is Mod# 1114-4, ser# 004452 and is in good condition. What should I sell or trade this in for? "I know"- it's hard to seperate with this friend after 28 years together, but I gotta move on. Whats a fair price? |

Location: Scotland | The 1114 Folklore is one of the best guitars of the era, Ovation don't make a production guitar like this now, but they should. Keep it, it would fetch maybe $400 & you couldn't find anything as good for 3 times that. |

Location: Bowmanville Ontario Canada | With the help of Paul and a few others I now know that a own a 1972 1114-4. I was in a similar situation three years ago. Well to make a long story short, instead of selling my Ovation I decided to buy two Seagulls. One for myself and one for my son. I never regreted keeping my Ovation it has got a sound that can not be matched. I also could not part with all the memories. My next guitar another Ovation. |
