Hey everyone, thanks for helping me learn more about this model. Does anyone know what type of cases these guitars originally came with? Were they Ovation cases, and does anyone have a case like the Eclispe model would have come with? Thanks ....Paul Hebert

as far as I can tell from all the guitars I owned they came with chipboard cases with fuzzy insides.

They didn't come with any case included with the price. You could purchase a chipboard case whcih is basically cardboard covered with a textured vinyl and lined in red felt. It was $35 back in the day. Not many of these have survived, so maybe its kind of a collectors item. Or you could opt for the hardshell case which is plywood covered in a pretty tough matrial and lined in plush "fur". Very nice case. I think it was $95 back then. I have extras of both, so email if you are interested in one. Basically any case for a Gibson ES type guitar will fit fine. I even used a Guild case of one sort or another that actually fit better than the Ovation case. Dave

It's starting to appear to me that you be the man when it comes to Thunderhead / Tornado info and parts.

Paul, CWK2 would be "The Man". I've just figured a few things out by trial and error. Mostly error. Dave
