Hi,

How often have you come accross a brand new Ovation with a bad setup? I would like to know who trustworthy it is to buy an Ovation without ever having played it or seen it, besides pictures of it.

I am thinking of buying a never-used Ovation Balladeer 4771-1, non-cutaway, deep bowl produced in 2001 (if I am not mistaken)from a guitar shop in the UK for around 700 hundred dollars and wonder if it is a big mistake to buy the guitar without viewing or if I can buy it with some confidence.

Your feedback would be really appreciated! Thanks!

PS. I have an Ibanez Artwood (solid sitka top), do you think that the Ovation Balladeer is better?

You can always set it up afterwards. I find even if you do buy it in a shop after seeing it and touching it, I have to make some adjustments myself anyways.
