Sounds interesting. I sent a message to the seller because I thought this might be a Cedar guitar. Someone told him it was Pine?

Anyway, I sometime wish I hadn't bought my Guild classical, it doesn't seem to match my other guitars.

The 1977 Ovation Catalog lists the 1113 as having a “AAA Spanish Pin” top.
I don’t know who this guy talked to at Ovation but unless the tope had been replaced its highly unlikely the top is Spruce. In fact the top is Cedar. Known then by Ovation as "Spanish Pine". In any case a good picture should resolve the issue.
