Location: Jet City | My boy's Legend died on him last night while playing at church. I've been tinkering with it for the last hour and I can't figure out what's going on.
I can hear the *hiss* coming through the amp, amp and it gets louder if you turn up the volume. So I figured it must be the pickup, or a connection between the pickup and preamp.
I have a spare pickup, but it looks like this old preamp has the pup soldered right to the board, and not a plug in end like the pickup I have. Connections look solid. Maybe it is the preamp board somewhere. I dunno.
I don't really want to cut the plug off the end of the spare pickup, especially just to experiment. Does anyone have a stacked knob preamp they'd like to part with? Does mothership still carry these?
Sorry for all the questions, but I need to get this fixed for him so he won't steal mine.
Any suggestions? Anyone have a stacked preamp maybe? |

How about finding a competent Radio -man , for it is not much of a problem , probably a capacitor that died . ( it`s not the pick -up )
Vic
..unless you want to upgrade to a new one with tone -control.. :) |
