Hi folks, new member here.

I just bought an ovation in the paper and wondered what exactly it might be worth and whether I should hang onto it. The serial number is B-283 and the back is shiny. It says deluxe baladeer inside it. The condition looks to be real nice (no cracks or deadspots). I'm usually on the Fender Discussion Board but couldn't pass up this price on what looks to be a nice acoustic.

You have an early Deluxe Balladeer. Nice guitar. I have seen them go for anywhere from $350. to over $1000. depending on condition and demand. If it has the original Brazilian rosewood bridge, no scratches on the shiny bowl, no lacquer cracks and has the original grover tuners, that's very nice indeed. Dave

Well, I know it has the original bridge, grover tuners, no scratches on the back (I looked real good this time) so it seems like I got a real good guitar. Thanks for the information.

If you ever want to sell it....I've got $40 put aside!!! (That's $5 more than willard offered) think about it!!

You know what?
I think you ought to sell it to me for like $100.
That way, my 68 Deluxe Balladeer would have somebody his age (besides me) to hang out with.
What do you say?
Do it for my poor old guitar!
