| Hey Everybody!
Great board and site. I want to put strap locks on my 3 year old Celebrity CC 026. I searched and found a couple other threads on this subject and saw where someone said that it should already be ready to accept Dunlops, but mine is not. I bought some Dunlops, but they come with a wood screw and the thread insert on my Celebrity is for a machine screw. Also the existing machine screw head is too big to fit down into the Dunlop. If there aren't any that I can buy, I may end up machining down the head of my existing screw to make it fit the Dunlops, but I hope to avoid that. Any other ideas out there? Your help is greatly appreciated.

Location: Scotland | The USA guitars come with Dunlop sockets, the imports have regular Ovation buttons. Take the machine screws from your Celeb & file the head a little smaller so it will fit into the Dunlop socket. They're only slightly bigger so it doesn't take much to make them fit. I've done this a few times when I've put Dunlops on my older Ovations |
