Fantastic buy Paul!!! I always seem to find these deals AFTER someone uses the Buy-It-Now :(

Those catalogs & flyiers look to be in mint condition!! I've got the brown one with Buffy St. Marie on the cover but the others sure would look nice in MY collection - Hey Paul I'll give you $20 for them!!! :D

Al, I'll do it, but I'm going to have to find a full afternoon to do it in because I've got a ton of catalogs. I'll coordinate with Miles in a few weeks as to what I have that he needs scanned. In return, he can get the pics and stuff from the OFC gathering up. Does that sound fair?

LOL... you guys crack me up.

Sorry for the delays, just been busy with things that I actually get paid to do. :)

I received the last of the OFC Tour pictures last week, so that project should be done in short order, maybe this week even.

I am working on the online store and CD simultaneously so that should be in a few more weeks.

Just kidding.

As I've offered before, if you guys EVER need any kind of help with scanning, photo-editing, layout, or anything of a "graphical" nature, just lemme know. I'd be more than happy to help!

Maybe we should coordinate on this. I've got a lot of catalogs and I'll bet I've got a lot that Cliff has. Why don't we divy up the scanning so we're not all doing the same catalogs.

Paul T & Cliff:

As soon as I get these new catalogs, I'll make a list of mine and shoot it out to both of you. Then we'll divvy up what we've got.

My catalog inventory is extremely meager (see my e-mail Paul(s) ). Once you guys have determined who has what and what needs to be scanned, if Al wants to send some (or even all) of what he has to me, I'd be more than happy to help with the scanning duties.

My other thought was . . . . . .

Miles, what are the chances of "opening the architecture" in the "Reference" section to allow memmbers to enter in photos/data (like we can do in the galleries)?
What I'm thinking is to list the various model numbers and then let those members who have the knowledge/experience with their respective models enter in a photo and vital "stats" (years made, top material, scale length, bracing pattern, etc.) sorta' like a baseball card.
In this way, "newbies" looking for info on a specific model can look it up themselves as opposed to asking the obligatory ". . . can anyone offer any info on this model? . ." question. Granted, it'd be a significant amount of data, but if bonafide Members had the access to enter the info, a lot of the work would be spread out over the Membership and not solely on your shoulders.

Just a thought.

let's try to get a conprehensive list of catalogs together and then assign volunteers to scan them in whatever format miles wants to use and that way it will be easy to accomplish

The best way is to scan into PDF format. That way it's resizeable and searchable. Scanning with any other format would have to be done at such a high resolution for small print items brosures that the files will be too big.
