Location: Lafayette, Louisiana | Hello everyone. I got my 1975 Custom Balladeer back from the Ovation factory today. I must tell you I could not be happier with it. Kim and the guys at Ovation made this old guitar look and play great. I got a new pickup put in it, the old one was really shot. It also had a fret job, as well as filling in some top finish cracks. What was really cool is that Kim found the part of the headstock wing that was knocked off in the case. I didn't even see that. They did a great job fixing the headstock wing, and all the crack finishing is well done. I can't even feel them, and they are even hard to see. For a guitar that spent most on its life in car trunks in hot Louisiana, it is awesome. And a testimate to how well Ovations are made. Kudos to Kim and everyone at Ovation service. I was shocked at how cheap all these repairs cost also. This old guitar has a huge sound, and looks like it will have a long life. Thanks Kim!......Paul Hebert |

Location: Central Oregon | That's great that they found the piece of the headstock. Flying (& crashing) model airplanes is another of my major interests. When one goes in I try to pick up every itty-bitty piece. Nothing fits as well as the piece that broke out. I'll bet the glue joint is almost invisible. What was the turn-around time for repairs? Couldn't have been long.

Location: Lafayette, Louisiana | Guys, they got the guitar at the Ovation factory June 30th, and I got it back yesterday the 14th of July. Considering it took 5 days to get there, and 5 days to get back, you can't beat that for service. Nils I also do alot of RC flying. I took a old Piper Cub and made it a low wing with a T-tail. It flys great, but it sure gets alot of "Why did you do that"? Also it is suppose to have a 20 size engine on it and I have an Super Tiger 46 on it. It really flys well, and I find the T-tail helps with slow landings....Paul Hebert |

Location: Central Oregon | Wow Paul, that really was a quick turnaround! I hope you're enjoying you newly refurbished custom Balladeer half as much as I'm enjoying my new Elite :)
I fly RC for fun, but mostly I fly Advanced Class control line P.A. (Precision Aerobatics aka Stunt) competitively. Is that Super Tigre a series G-21 with muffler lugs? If so I'll buy you a brand new LA .46 to trade you for it & I'll pay the shipping. I love G-21 ST .46's, they are excellent stunt engines. They're nothing special for RC, but with a venturi installed in place of the carb they have perfect timing to run a 4-2-4 break stunt run.

I know absolutely nothing about RC's, having only tried them once, but I find that talk about them totally interesting. I think it's my chopper and fixed wing experience of 50 years ago surfacing when I hear about any thing that flies, (I particularly like the idea of things that fly and crash without me aboard).
