The Heathrow security that stopped and questioned me because I was looking for a trash bin in the tube station.

Well be honest - you're a real suspicious looking character. And you're obviously not a native when you look for a trash bin. Very suspicious.
If you'd walked through the main terminal with a machine gun nobody would have bothered.

I couldn't find one. They told me to just set my empty cup down and someone would be along to clean it up.
When I asked them why there weren't any trash cans, they said, "Because people kept putting things in them". I still looked confused, so they added, "Things that go bang".

Odd...the plane hasn't been shot down and yet there's STILL no reports of uprising at Heathrow.

They really don't know what's coming, do they...?

Could you post a picture of Andrea to counteract the picture that fillhixx posted?

I have a very nice picture of Andrea - but I have to edit jeff out first.
Meal was very good, Mark, and the beer was superb.

My wife and her sister happened to be talking about some friend who raved about the British food on some recent trip. They concluded she must be nuts or has never been anywhere before.
To be fair, I am not fussy about food, McDonald's is fine with me, but was also disappointed with the food in Italy. It was good, but it turns out that our "Italian food" is much different than the real thing. Otherwise the Italians would all be fat like us. You don't see many "British" food restaurants over here, though, for some reason. Even our fish and chips are fish with "French" fries.
Oh, you can leave Jeff in the picture. It might help to see him with someone good looking for a change. The only pictures I've seen of him, he was with you guys.

"It might help to see him with someone good looking for a change."

You would think so, wouldn't you? But, in Jeff's case, it really doesn't. It's a real paradox, Mark.

We have a couple authentic British pubs here that also serve food. Really cool atmosphere and the food is actually pretty good.

I vaguely remember that the pics of one of the tours had a nice looking young lady posed among the rest. I don't remember if Jeff was in the pic. In fact I don't remember who was there except the young lady. That's what I mean by the suggestion that it would help. Until then, I can't get fillhixx picture out of my head. I expect that Jeff would have his hat on, though.

If the food is good, they're not authentic.

I had a partner here who retired and went on a senior mission for the LDS church. When they sent him to England we told him how lucky he was that he didn't have to go through the school to learn a foreign language. He said it took him about 6 months to be able to understand their "English."
