At least they posted an Adamas and not a Celebrity. I can't remember the last time I saw an Adamas in a catalog.

Does Elderly give a senior citizen discount for us card carrying AARP members? With a name like Elderly, they should.

I just received an application for AARP yesterday. I was distraught.

Really, they must've made a mistake. I'm too young.

When you turn 50, let me know. I'll send you my copy of Bill Geist's book, The Big 5-0. It starts with a discussion of the giant conspiracy that is AARP. Pretty funny. My father-in-law bought my first year's membership. He actually thought I should thank him.

Never joined AARP, but I regularly use them for hotel discounts. When dealing with hotel clerks, just respond with a "Huh?" about every other question. By the time they get to asking for AARP membership verification, they just want you out of the lobby and won;t push it. This technique has a surprising success rate.

I just make sure I'm not wearing a hat. If that doesn't work, one "young whippersnapper" will do it.

My wife and I ordered coffee and a $1 Sunday at McDonalds while in Hawaii while waiting out rush hour traffic.

The girl says "Two Senior Coffee's"...I said, no, two small coffee's...I ain't old enough to be a senior.

I guess it's inevitable.

Elderly is one of the premier Martin dealers in the contry so this isn't shocking at all. They obviously put their print ad money where it's gonna pay dividends for them and they've had a successful formula for a long time. I am sort of surprised that they allocate more space to Banjos than they do to Taylors. But I guess the Taylors are so good that they just sort of sell themelves.

Such a premier, classy dealer and not a Gibson or LesPaul in sight.
Sure seems like Gibson threw the baby out with the bathwater here.
