Location: Central Oregon | I was back over at Central Oregon Music yesterday. I took my nephew over & bought him a new guitar to learn on for taking care of our house while we're gone. He's going to be our house sitter/animal feeder. He has a real POS Stella he's been struggling with & he really needed something at least reasonable to practice on. I bought him a little Takamine Jasmine with a soft case for $165. Not a bad little box, & if he doesn't stick with it I'm not out much.
Anyway, Steven had told me to give him a call before I came over again & he would set up that blue weave-top Adamas before I got there. He did & it is NICE! I'm not really sure if it's a deep bowl or medium bowl but it's a lot thicker than my Elite. It's a 2002 model with the older pre-amp. I'm not sure what it is, but it's not an OP50. Come to think of it I never have plugged it in...
Anyway, he offered it to me for $1,400 with the case. Does that sound like a good buy? (I think he's trying to get my wife to kill me.)

Location: Scotland | Sounds like it's a CVT, great guitar, they list at around $2K, so even used from a dealer it's not a bad price though I've seen them for a little less. It'll be a mid-bowl. Don't worry about the older pre, it's an Optima, they're killer. |

Location: Central Oregon | Actually it's new, it's just been in the store for a year. Thanks for the input Paul :)

Location: Netherlands | Nils, you could also check www.musiciansfriend.com they have a sale right now and sell them cheaper i think (and no p&p), but i don't know if they include a case. And you would not be able to try the instrument and all.
But It seems a good deal to me.
