Looks like a Deacon neck, and the body shape is somewhat right, but with a stop tail bridge, no pick guard, and chickenhead knobs?
Looks like a pretty nice job, but someone should tell this guy it's not a real Deacon... |

Location: Scotland | Hmmmm, interesting. The neck is dead right. This is what you could cobble together if you managed to acquire a Deacon or BW body, before the pickup, bridge and control cavities were routed. That body is 1 piece, the shape is correct and looks like Honduran mahogany. I'd guess that's a genuine body that "escaped" |

Looks to me like a Volume, tone and Varitone. |

I knew a Street Musician with a pseudo-Explorer-bodied electric that he made in high school Wood Shop... with really intricate filigree along the edges.
He had taken the original neck, tuners, electronics, etc, and made it himself... Fine Job.
Maybe this person started with an Ovation, and had to rebuild it. Did a good job too.
(maybe not $838 worth, tho') |
