Isabel has come and gone, leaving a lot of destruction behind. After losing electrical power last Thursday at 5:00 AM, then getting it back again at 5:45, then losing it once again at 8:30 AM for four days. Finally this afternoon, the lights came on once again. Overall we came out well, having lost a few shingles and gained a large pile of branches outside. However, we have lost all the contents of the freezer. Still, minor compared to what many people have lost in this area. I have friends that lost roofs, rooms, vehicles, but no one was injured or lost their life. God has been gracious to us once again.

"Bowed, but not broken" Generally, a good outcome. Thanks for the status report, Chuck! Trundling around unnecessary anxiety becomes somewhat burdensome.
Take care,
Chris

Wonderful to hear from you, you were in the eye of the storm from what we could see from our safe observation perches. Extremely sorry to hear about your power outages, extremely glad to hear you survived without catastrophic damage. I, and I am sure we, are pulling for all to come out of this disaster as good as possible. Great to hear from you.

I share the experience out here in Richmond area of Virinia. Isabels center passed directly over here just West of Richmond. Lost power and phone on Thursday. Got power back Saturday and Telephone Monday afternoon. Fortunately my Baladeer survived.

Thank God for generators. Kept my freezer running 16 hours each day. No spoilage or any other dammage.

We heard about that, and it seems that a hurricane has more problems than just it's first coming ashore. Good luck to all in the area, keep us posted. I still have fond memories of Williamsburg, Richmond, Yorktown, and Buckroe Beach. That was 50 years ago (1953), I even attended William and Mary and picked up a few credits.
