"The Doggie In The Window," Patti Page.
3/21/53.
I can remember my dad singing that song to my sister and me as little kids, so I already have fond memories related to it. He also used to sing "Stardust," "The Rubber Tree Plant," "Swing on a Star" and lots of other old ones to us.
Mom said the first song I ever sang was the original "Mickey Mouse Club Song." (Hey, now that would make a good topic.....)

BluesSailor, weren't you and I born the same day, too?

June 2, 1960 - Cathy's Clown
It's kind of funny - my brother sometimes calls me that, since the wife's name is Cathy.

What were they thinking?

I do remember me and my older Brother cracking up to a 45 with Alan King...
