I plan on making Matt Smith's Chop Shop on Oct. 20th in Sherman, Texas. I got the AOK from my wife and everything!

Sherman is about 100 miles from Ft. Worth, an easy drive. Means I'll get back home late, but I'm sure it's worth it!

Just wondering if any other OFC members in the area are interested. Let me know and I'll see you there!

I see that San Diego is on the schedule.

Question - what does a chop shop consist of?

Tony, check here for Chop Shop info:
Matt Smith's Home Page

Doesn't look like a guitar is being given away at Sherman or San Diego, should still be fun and informative. Says to "Bring your guitar"....

Nice meeting you too Matt! I made it back to Cowtown AOK. To all the OFC members, it's not called "Chop" Shop for nothing. Matt's got 'em!!! If you get a chance, head to one of these, I learned some new stuff (alternate tunings!) in a matter of minutes. Just watching Matt play and getting to strum an Adamas they had was worth the trip. Will post some pics when I get some time.

For those that weren't there or didn't know, Matt played an AWESOME set at the beginning of the OFC Jam (there's - ahem! - "pictures" somewhere).

I don't know if he's scheduled to be at OFC'04, but if he IS it's just yet another reason to SIGN UP an' git yo' ass to Connecticut!!
