Location: Bonney Lake,Wa. USA | Looks like I may get the bid on an Ovation CC01 on ebay. This is,of course,an acoustic-only model.I'd rather have one with a built-in pickup, but if I get this guitar for the $115.00 I bid, that would be fine with me.Has anyone tried some of the sound hole pickups on an Ovation,or other acoustic guitar?
Thanks, |

A close second is the Fishman Rare Earth (though not the cheaper passive version) There's plently others and all the name brands do a pretty good job. Just remember that regardless of which soundhole pickup you choose & despite what the manufacturers may say to the contrary, you'll get a better result plugged-in if you use nickel rather than bronze strings

Location: 6 String Ranch | Maybe some Seth Lover seymour duncan humbuckers and screw them to the face of the guitar just infront of the bridge. Get that Les Paul sound on an acoustic. |
