That song reminds me of a joke about how to get rid of crabs.

1st shave one side.
2nd set the other side on fire.
3rd stab the escaping crabs with an icepick.

Next time you get the crabs, think of me.

When you're picking at them scabs, think of me.

I hope you miss with that ice pick

& stab yourself right in the ........ wiener

When you peeing like a sprinkler,

Think of me.

All the inspiration is here, and all it needs is a title!

"The Cheap Viper, Low Feedback, Great Tune, Barking Dog, Killing Crabs Blues"

Put this together and fame is gauranteed, probably, well maybe gauranteed, your neighbor will applaud if you play it loud enough and your wife doesn't have you evicted. Nothing's perfect, after all it is the blues.

Thanks :) That's makes at least three people that weren't totally disgusted. The best songs always come from the heart, & that one did. Writing songs has always come fairly easy for me, writing songs that aren't filthy has always been where the trouble starts. Kip Attaway once told me he has the same problem.

The picturE of the Viper looks to me as if it is a PREACHER. vIPERS HAD MAPLE FINGERBOARDS, I MADE A GAZILLION OF THEM IN 1977.

According to the catalogs & the guitars I've seen or owned, from around '77 or a little later the Viper was offered with an ebony 'board option & was ebony only by the end of production.

My Viper is very late in the run, probably one of the last (I have never seen one with a higher s/n). It has the chrome bridge, non-engraved pickguard, shaped waist, ebony fretboard, mahogany body, and mahogany neck, with an original hardshell case that is black. It has a satin finish, which is beginning to get a bit hazy these days.

Truly an incredible guitar. Outplays anything I've owned or played, except for perhaps my Hamer. IMHO, it blows away a Fender Tele, which it was modeled after, both in terms of playability and sound. It would take a huge pile of money to get it away from me. Which is a huge pile more than I paid for it. If more people knew about these guitars, they too would be fetching $1500 (can we get one in the hands of Josh Homme?).
