Great Japanese link! Who is Ozaki Yataka? (must be the Melissa Etheridge of Japan  )
What do they mean by "Old Carbon Graphite" for the tops? Also check out the non-cutaway Celebrities w/PICKGUARDS!!
. . . .
I don't know the exchange rate for the dollar vs the Yen(?) but it looks like some expensive guitars!!!! :D

I think by old graphite they are referring to the textured tops.

That's the one we saw, it was stunning. Why use the same model number as the export stuff which very different, I wonder. |

FINALLY a "glowing" critique!
Tried to post a scan of the pic from the article but the new gallery thingie wasn't cooperating, so I gave up. Stunning looking guitar, though. Looks like a 21st Century version of my SlotHead! Blue woven top, austere white binding around the body, 5-pc. neck with a slotted headstock sporting a blue veneer face. As Jason said, to say that the reviewer was very impressed was DEFINITELY an understatement! He summed it up best with his last sentence:
"With spectacular tone and impressive room-filling volume, this guitar deserves a seat at the head table."
Hopefully, this will be a sign of things to come. |

Location: NJ | Hey! . . . . . . WAIT a minute!!!
I just picked up the most recent issue of GuitarPlayer and at the bottom of pg.146 there's another review of this guitar and they're actually CALLING it the "Ovation Adamas SlotHead"!!!
This ain't no steeeenking SlotHead!!!!
There's only 34 Slothead's, and this ain't one of 'em!!
Wait'll I get my hands on Rick Hall!!!! :D
Albeit brief, but another "glowing" review!
To quote Jimmy Leslie of GP:
". . . The SlotHead represents the pinnacle of Ovation's ACOUSTIC guitar-making technology . . ."
NICE!!! |
