Paul, You're quite a resource here. Are you looking up this stuff with the resource books around you, or do you just know it based on experience? Your knowledge of Ovation and products is impressive. Thanks for your help on my logo question.

Paul T. is not really a person. It is a computer program we run here at OFC on a super computer. We have combined all our knowledge and humor and created a program for our own amusement. Something went awry and Paul T. is left out of control. We are still trying to find a way to shut "it" down. Any help is appreciated.

Now that we have told you the truth, we may have to terminate you as well.

Yes it's true, I am a synthetic organism, not unlike Commander Data on Star Trek. I am programmed to play slide guitar, but only on Ovations. I have every model & specification in my database. I just wish they hadn't left out the "personality" chip. And the penis.

Seriously, the first good guitar I got in my mid-teens was an Ovation & while I own & play other brands I don't feel the same connection. When I was a kid I used to read through Ovation catalogs drooling over the stuff I couldn't afford back then and a lot of the detail has stuck. I deal in used and vintage instruments of all types as part of my living, so I have a working knowledge of most brands, not just Ovation, and a fairly healthy collection of books, catalogs & reference material. That and the fact that I need a life.

A hobby turned into a profession, that's still a hobby. How wonderful!
Too bad about the penis though!

Paul,

I am convinced you have a pornographic, uh...I mean photographic memory. You're deeply knowledgeable about so many different subjects-it's not just Ovation info. It is a gift that you can store so many details in your head, and then recall them so easily. I'm continually astonished and impressed.

You're a real asset to the board, and I'm looking forward to your return visit for the OFC tour!

Be well!
Johnny

You guys are being mean to Temp. Stop it right now. And you're passing around bad information. According to Susan he has a dick. Just takes a while to find it.

Not if you have a bag fitted, which serves the dual purpose of a temporary hot water bottle for the bitter north-east winters.

Well

I hate to tell you about his part in the battle of Britain, flying a plane while playing a guitar, or even a mandolin, and driving back the dreaded Jerry, holding that instrument between his legs in a dogfight might have some significants (the instrument was pulverized, his mates commmented on the strange landing, one hand on the flight stick and the other checking what was behind the instrument. Did the bullets penetrate the Ovation bulletproof roundback? Tune in tommorrow.)
