Setting action... Is it a string by string thing or am I missing something?

I haven't changed mine from the factory setting which is low, but not as low as the Hamer factory settings. Seems to work well for me. And yes, it is a string by string adjustment system.

Set up the 1st and 6th strings to where you want them, then set the other 4 to match the camber of fingerboard.

Well I'm not taking into consideration that it'll be strummed like an acoustic at times, so maybe it should stay where it is. I keep looking at it as an electric, not an acoustic.

Paul that's how I set up my Wonderbar too. It's just a pain in the...

I may just try lowering all strings exactly a half turn and see how that does, then another half if it seems it can go more.

Quit dicking around with it and play it so you can give us a review. I thought the action of a VXT was great, but I compared it to the acoustic end of the spectrum.

Oh, I've been playin it. Trying to get an acoustic sound I like and I think I've got something that sounds decent with a combo of the AC60 and the output of it going into the old '65 Standel.

Of course the electric side is easy. Plug into the Carvin and go.

It's a new animal for me. I'll play it for a week, then give a review, and maybe a video. Maybe another Ozzy one, just for you Mark.

Plus.. I'm waiting for a pedalboard that should show Friday, then I'll have 2 signal paths on it (one for acoustic, the other electric), and we'll get all the gadgets hooked up in a live performance setting.

I want to have a full feel of what this will do when everything's hooked up so I can give a proper review/demo

Boys and toys. Keep a clean cotton rag ready so you can keep polishing that black finish.

Disregard the having to wait thing. I took your advise Mark. Been playing it since my last post. Dialed in a nice tone on the AC60, then used my lil ol' Crate G40CXL (small SS amp with 2 10" Celestions and a great sound) for the electric side.

The results were fantastic, and plenty loud enough to do at the bar I think. There are some original pieces that have both acoustic and heavy electric parts, and this thing switches between the sounds like no other so call "hybrid" I've ever heard. The Taylor T5 can't get the tones these Duncans do. I also popped the RC-20XL LOOP station into the acoustic side, and started doing this looping thing I've been working on. I gotta say, blending in a bit of electric in the parts that I'm doing over the acoustic loop come through so much better to my ear. I tried it all acoustic after, and it sounded weak and boring.

My initial "had it for a day" review. The VXT KICKS ASS!!! period (and yeah, a polishing cloth should always be nearby for the black ones)

It would never replace the UKII as my go to electric, but for doing live work where you could use both sounds in the same song, man, this thing is really good. The blending option is really what sets it apart though. Just a "scosh" (couldn't help myself) of a turn towards the electric side gives you a nice and full acoustic lead tone that will cut through the mix nicely.

I'll try to get pics, video, and sound up by this weekend. Stay tuned...
