Location: Munich | I was looking at all the pics of the UKII's in here. And then I was wondering cause the inlays of mine are more similar to the inlays of a ultra gp (you know the cutted edges perloids block).
is that a matter of the year they were made or is it just a funny accident?
greetings

Pretty early in production the UK11 changed to block inlays which had a little "bite" out of each corner. This inlay was originally used on the Preacher Deluxe & later on the GP. I've also seen several UK11's with unbound dot-inlaid Preacher necks |

Location: Nova Scotia, Canada | My brother was the high bidder on this guitar so I will get the skinny on the active electronics when he gets it.

Location: 6 String Ranch | That looks like just a normal UK2 to me, not that I'm an expert on that model or anything like that. Batteries? We don't need no stinkin batteries!!!! |

Location: The Great Pacific Northwest | I'm super curious too. It "looks" too stock, and if it is "active" it's probably not Ovation electronics in there, unless there was a whole lot of modification going on. I'm mainly curiuos as I have thought about experimenting with a pre-amp and those UKII pickups. |

Location: Nova Scotia, Canada | As suspected, the "active" uk2 turned out to be a standard passive system.
My brother purchased this guitar and would like to replace the Grovers with stock Ovation/Shaller tuners. Does any one have a set to sell? He also needs a truss rod cover, as the tip is broken on this one. This has to be from an electric solid because they are longer.
Thanks!
