I just bought this compilation today:

http://www.musicline.de/de/product/Coryell,Larry/Master+Of+Jazz+Guitar/CD/4011222204288

It clearly has larry coryell with an ovation guitar on the cover. I'm a bit surprised, because he endorses his cort signature model (an archtop).

Coryell was an early endorsee & long-time user of Adamas. He's had an association with Cort for a while & puts his name to one of their Gibson-style archtop jazz guitars, go figure. (amazing, I succesfully resisted the temptaion to say "Gibson copy") Cort are a massive operation and make pretty good guitars, mostly for big-name US companies

Coryell is a Master, and the fact that he shows himself playing an Ovation is an endorsement of sorts. Keep in mind that people of his level of skill are not dependant on any guitar for their sound, they can make any reasonably capable guitar sound great. They tend to go with whoever will give them the best deal and support.

I love Coryell's playing.

Check out albume like Bolero or 12 Frets To One Octave to hear how good an Adamas can sound unplugged.
