Joined: March 2002 Posts: 1380 Location: Central Oregon | I asked the guys at Central Oregon Music about selling their overstock of Elixir 12 string sets to the people here at the OFC a few weeks ago after we talked about it here. They said they'd think it over & let me know what they decided. Well, I talked to Joe at Central Oregon Music today. They've talked it over & decided that I can buy as many sets as I want of their overstock of Elixir 12 string sets for cost plus 5%. I think they have 7 or 8 sets left but I'm not sure. I want at least one more set, so there should be 6 or so more sets available. Joe said he'll look up their cost & have a price for me the next time I go over there (probably Thursday). They're the Nanoweb-12 String Lights /.010-.047. If any of you want some, email me & I'll sell 'em for whatever they cost me plus shipping. You can wait until I get a price or email me right away, it makes no difference to me, but it's first come (email) first served. Shipping in the USA should be pretty cheap, I have no clue what it will cost to ship overseas. I would like as many people as possible to get a chance at them so one set each please. If there are more strings than there are people that want them I'll sell more sets per person if they want more. I will sell them to the first six people that email me, or however many sets of strings there are, minus one set for me. After I get a price quote you can pay me via PayPal (however, I CANNOT accept PayPal from a credit card based account), money order or personal check, as long as the money is in USD. I won't do that on ebay but I don't expect to get stiffed by anyone here, (be assured however that if I DO get stiffed EVERYBODY here will know about it! :) ) You folks on this board have helped me out a lot & I'd like to give something back. Please remember that I DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH THEY WILL BE YET, but I'll sell 'em for whatever they cost me plus shipping. /\/\/

There are 8 sets available total & at least 2 sets are spoken for (4 sets are spoken for if nobody else wants them). If you want some EMAIL ME BY NOON THURSDSAY NOV 6! This is a limited time deal. I'm not making any money on these to people in the OFC. /\/\/

Cliff, in Brainerd, a 6 string set of Elixirs sell for $15.00, and a 12 string set sells for $30.00.Ridiculous prices, but hey, they want $18.00 for a set of Adamas 12's. Norse(strings be expensive here in the northland)man1

Have you tried the "nano-web" strings Cliff? They have a much better feel than the original polywebs, and they do have a nice tone. With the high action I have on my CS255, the Elixirs will help with friction and barring. Norse(they are worth giving a try)man1

Sorry about the mixup but I was only repeating what they told me. (I'm still keeping two sets for me :) ) /\/\/

Enjoy your Elixers, Marley will come and visit you in the night with much groaning and rattling of chains.

I don't need any ghosts in this thing, I'm having enugh trouble with it already! I got my Norton Firewall to come back online after beating my head against the wall this morning. First time that ever worked. /\/\/

Their squabbling over the spoils will attract Morley and his chains unless they wake up like Scrooge on Christmas Morning and start giving away their hoarded spoils (i. e. send Bailey a 12 string Adamas)!!

There really was no squabbling involved, everyone was quite pleasant. Only 4 people took me up on the offer & one of them only wanted one set, so the other 3 guys got two sets each. I sent out the last two sets to Chuck today. Mission accomplished :) /\/\/
