Location: Lafayette, Louisiana | I just got a beautiful older Custom Legend in today. It has the carved walnut bridge. I noticed that it looks like the bridge has a clear finish on it. Did all these carved bridges have a clear finish? |

The other three CLs with the carved bridges have what appears to be a low satin finish but it is actually the walnut that takes a little polishing/buffing. Not actually a satin finish. The CL 12-string that I bought new in 1981 had that same low sheen appearance. Natural oil of wood? with Martin guitar polish.
Unfortunately, the non carved 6759 bridge is a dull black. |

Location: Lafayette, Louisiana | Thanks Tony, the new Custom Legends have ebony bridges. These are nice also, but no carved bridges with ebony. |

Location: SoCal | Side by side, the carved walnut has that wonderful, warm appearance - guess you can tell what one I prefer. |

The bridge is stained black with a flat finish.
Congratulations on your new guitar ! |

Congrats on the new string box. Some day I would like a guitar with a carved bridge. I might even carve one of mine myself.
