Location: Central Oregon | I just saw a blurb on CMT saying there was going to be a show with Dolly Parton & Melissa Etheridge. In the promo M.E. was playing a black 12 string O. Unfortunately I was looking at the O & missed when it was going to be on.... I guess they'll show it again. Anybody else see it?

Here is the web page for the Crossroads segment for Dolly and Melissa: http://www.cmt.com/cmt/event/crossroads.jhtml
... I saw the ad, and saw "a black guitar" but they changed pictures so fast that I couldn't confirm it as an Ovation. I had a strong feeling it was a squareback beastie... I'm probably wrong... I'll tune in and see for myself... but with so many "signed" artists jumping ship.... who knows???

Location: Central Oregon | Tim, the one I saw was black as well & I'm *almost* certain I saw an O headstock on it. Thanks for the link.

Location: Canton (Detroit), MI | For what it's worth, the Adamas ME 12-string looks black unless you get the light on it just right. I bought mine thinking it was black (the room at the shop was not well lighted) until I got it home and found it was a very, very dark red 'burst.
I bet Melissa is playing a ME 12-string, which should make all of us very happy! |

Location: Las Cruces, NM | I hope so< I tape most of the crossroads and I see this one is scheduled for Nov 28 so I'll have the tape ready. Usually they run them frequently after they debut, so if you miss the first keep checking and you can catch one.
Bailey (Brooks and Dunn and ZZ Top was great, Kid Rock and Hank Williams Jr was good.) |
