What COLOR is this guitar that I just bought?

The Ovation website doesn't list "Teal" or "Slime Bluish Green" as one of their colors.
Or any kind of green for that matter...
I know that I have seen this color on other eBarf guitars, but never in person.
Anyone got a similar colored guitar, or Toyota?

I asked the guy if it was blue or green, but he didn't answer that question. He did say that the neck and frets are good, and there are no bulges or dips in the soundboard. I came to my senses before I placed a bid, but you would have beat me anyway. Should be a nice guitar for a low price. I think maybe it's blue.

I saw a similar one here. It was Kermit green. I thought it might go for the minimum bid, but you got a good deal. My daughter over in Portland likes green, if you ever want to get rid of it.

I saw that when it was just about over, and it was at the top of the page and it was cheap.
It is a mid-depth 1771... I kinda thought it was an SSB but no...
It was just one of those impulse thingies.

This is why I really oughta stay away from EvilBay!

That looks the same colour as blue-green algae. Don't go swimming in it.

I had a green car once although when I bought it I rang my girlfriend (now SWMBO) and told her I'd bought a brown car.

She was surprised when I arrived to see a gleaming green machine in the driveway and not the rusty brown one she had imagined.

My colourblindness is a constant source of amusement for my kids.

Those pics really show the effect of lighting on color. The seller should have hired Damon.

Porsche always has strange adjectives for its colors. Ours are Arena Red and Carmon Red. I didn't know arenas or carmons were red. Both look burgundy to me, but that might be French.
The colors used to identify the country of manufacture, but in road races, the Italians would get out of the way for the red Ferraris and stand in the road for the other colored cars, so Mercedes painted their car red. I think Mercedes also started the Germnan silver tradition because they sanded all the paint off a race car to save weight.
Oh, is this a guitar forum?

One of my former Porsches was Guardsman Red. Real close to the color of Beal's Flying A. I always thought the name was inspired by Snoopy and The Red Baron by the Royal Guardsman. This is a music board, right? ;)

I drive a "Rimini Red" and the wife drives a "Mars Red". As far as I'm concerned they are just RED.

Ovation does the same crap. Autumnburst, Honeyburst, Newengland burst, Hemmeroidburst, ... they are all just freaking SUNBURST or christs sake. Damn marketeers. Oh wait , I are one.

I had a discussion with a retired elementary school Librarian who told me this. Teachers are not allowed to do First aid or medical processes with students so the occasional pinch, bruise or slam was treated by running "Cool, Clear Water" over it.

Apparently the extra adjectives add a holistic healing property???

Bobbo, it was Guards Red, not Guardsman. I had 2 of them. I could never figure out which guard was red, either. Mars Red I can understand, the red planet reference. I had a VW that color. "Mars Rot" on the plate inside the trunk. I think they spelled Hemmeroidburst wrong. Those damn marketeers can't spell, either.

Ovation has Lusty Red. I think their marketers should get points for that name. If they were going down the emotion path, maybe OMA's guitar is really Jealousy Green? And does it turn into Lovesick Blue in certain conditions?

Gurads Red? OK. I'll buy that. I always thought it was Ferrari Red anyway. It was the only Red color form Porsche that was actually Red.

First picture I'd call a jade green
Second piture I'd call an emerald deep green.
Third picture, I'd call it either a deep green or caddellac green.
It depends on the light. I like the color in the first picture.

I just got mine. Its darker and bluer than yours. I know mine is Caddyshack Green. I'll post pics of it once its cleaned up.

Yours must be that or Green, Green Quilt, or Green Burst (most likely not).

There is a Blue/Green, but that is an Adamas color.

I may get my answer next Wednesday... It would be sooner 'cept for that damn electron thing.
[I volted by mail last week, and Oregon has no poles, so shipping should run regardless!
I should not be charged for other people's electrical deficiencies.]

This may be like my Orange Flame... I can get different colors every time I photograph it.
And none of them colors match what it looks like in real life.

And the Winning Answer is.... Cadillac Green!

Once I got it out into the 'sun room' to check it out I discovered some terrible pick-haze, but since I had to take it into the sunlight to see it I guess it ain't that bad.
I did notice that the plastic rosette is coming undone over by the treble-side fretboard, but I just played it and heard no buzzing so that should not be a problem.
When I bid on it, I noted that the saddle is pretty high, so I'm guessing there are some shims under there for future lowering if I need to.
I haven't gotten around to changing the strings and all the Mister Fix-it stuff yet.
I just wanted to share... (Brag :D )
