I really enjoyed the end when the fellow that tests the guitars (sorry I can't remember his name) was playing. He was really good, and the guitar had a great tone. I noticed that some of the guitars they showed had truss rod covers. What models were these, and do they have the K-bar neck or not?

(lol) The model that fellow was playing at the end of the GAC program sounded great. What model were they showing the headstock of at the beginning of each segment of the show. It had pearloid buttons like a Custom Legend and it had a truss rod cover. What are these guitars????

Forces me to wait to see what Ovation is going to come out with. I did have some fear that maybe I would prefer the current models, but reading this makes me feel SO much better.... I forgot to tape the show yesterday, will have to get it on Saturday. THEN I can see what you all are talking about.

The guitar that was having the 'burst finish sprayed on the top appeared to be a new S771 Balladeer...I saw one of these in the Detroit area the day I bought my ME 12-string. It's a new finish and I don't think it's that common yet. It is impressive to see how much hand work there is making one of these. And that the finish work is very much "personal" with the string installation and the action set-up. It was interesting to see that the lady who installed the strings puts tape below the bridge to protect the top like I do when I change them. The finale was great...Aaron Tippin playing a flag-top Legend. Made me feel so good that these are made here is the U.S. of A......
