PBS had a Farm Aid special tonight and I spotted an Ovation mandolin in the Hootie and the Blowfish band. It was used for rythym mostly but it could certainly be heard. Sometimes I think the mandolins and acoustic Vipers are the most likely to be seen nowadays. Willie's rythym guitar sidekick that used to play an Ovation was playing an acoustic electric that I didn't recognize.
