To buy a true Vintage Guitar you should be able to loose your money like in Vegas (if you buy it on the web that is) or be able to hold it, play it and hung it before you part with your hard earned money.
I play with a guitarist who has a 1957 LP Gold Top & a '62 Strat, he of course will not part with these guitars until death prys his boney fingers from them.
But he seriously looked into a Ibanez Vai Jem & found up to 75% of Jems for sale on the internet are fakes and thats only a circa 20 year old instrument.

Regardless of the supposed country of origin this is how life actually works.... If it seems too good to be true, then ultimately it probably is.
Guitar Scammers target the gullible, the stupid, the uninformed and the terminally optimistic. Make sure you are none of those, otherwise you will get what you deserve.
Also, are you aware that 73.7% of statistics are just made up for the sake of having a number to quote? |

"There are three kinds of Lies;
Little White Lies, Boldface Black-hearted Lies, and Statistics!"
Personally I am always terminally optimistic when buying guitars...
But I try to return the favor when I resell them. Keep my Karma good, y'know? |
