Location: Hong Kong | Hello all Ovation Lovers,
I have just contact the local music shop, the only dealer for Ovation in here. They said that it is possible to custom order a Guitar as those of Adamas I except that the neck will be those normal 5 pieces but not in full Walnut.
I really want one with duplicated features of the 1st generation. Can you help me to figure out all spec. so that I can send it to the dealer for a quoote ?
What I know about the spec. are:
Carved Walnut Head and Bridge
Scale Length 25.4" ??
Carbon Graphite Top with Red reverse burst
Deep Bowl
With Moderm Electronic Pick up but with a Traditional Knob for the tone and volume. (Is this possible ?)
Multi Sound holes, non cut-away
With K - Bar Trus Rod adjust
Any missing spec. for Adamas I ?
Thanks a lot !

I custom ordered an old style Adamas 1 last year which has a carved walnut neck and bridge. They now use ebony for the fingerboard which I find a much better playing surface than that dry old walnut.
It's the best sounding, playing Ovation I've ever encountered.
When I ordered mine I gave the dealer the model number (1687), colour (blue reverse sunburst) and my choice of electronics (Optima)
I recieved my guitar in 5 months. |
