Merry Christmas to me. What a great way to end a year. Sitting in front of the same fireplace where I listened to my dad's Chet Atkins records when I was a kid. It's been a long year and I am looking forward to some time off with just me, the fire and this guitar. I sure hope this isn't the last one of these that Ovation ever produces. It is truly a wonderful instrument. I love how it feels, sounds, plays, looks....I'm a happy camper tonight.

Thanks, Dave...I came on the board about the time you got yours and I knew then I would have one. Ravana, your post pushed me over the edge...thanks. I own two things that I will never get rid of. A willow and cane rocker that has been in my family 150 yrs...and this guitar.

peace,
mark

Mark, I played one of these that was at Elderly Instruments at Lansing, MI a couple of months ago, and I know how truly special they are. It was definitely the best-sounding Ovation in the store, and I wish I could have spent the $1400 it would have taken to get it(it has since been sold).

Congratulations on your lifetime acquisition!!

Thanks Roger...

I couldn't have paid $1400 either but when a couple of them got down to $850 I was able to come up with the money. These have been slow to sell but when they are finally all gone, I don't see them showing up again very often once their owners hear them.

have a good one,
mark

Hey Mark:

Why don't you invite me over. We won't talk politics, just play guitar.

Seriously, that's a beautiful insturment. I played Dave Witko's while in Phoenix earlier this year and fell in love with it. You've made a great choice in your guitar. Congrats!

That sounds like fun to me, Paul. I'd still love a good debate though...just bring your blood pressure medication ;) .

It's hard to beat hanging out with friends and making music...
