Sounds like these are the direct decendants of our Deluxe Balladeers.

Can you tell I'm excited?

The Balladeer LX looks great. I'm really looking forward to trying these at NAMM

I am excited about the new neck attachment system. Hell, I am excited about everything on these LX models!

I like the inlaid epaulets. That's also one of the things I really like about the 2003 Collectors. Are the LX models really "archtop"? Meaning like my ES-175 archtop? Maybe just slightly arched? I sure like the new neck attachment method. I see the demise of the dreaded "14th fret hump". It looks like the neck will stay attached even if you accidentally run over the guitar with the pickup.

I just went though all the photos & specs. Very, very nice.
I wonder how long before they are available? It's nice to to read the inside scoop here, but it makes the wait longer.

I believe they're in the line now.

Somewhere someone said that the bowls were thinner. NOT TRUE. Same thickness, just more microballoons in the material which makes it lighter. BIG IMPROVEMENT. This technology has been around several years but the K-Bar had to go before it could be introduced (too neck heavy with all that metal in there). This new truss rod works great and is much lighter than the old system.

They've made alot of good changes and been smart enough to leave the good things alone, like the neck profile. Don't mess with that!!
