...I am ashamed to say, I didn't even own an Ovation. Now I have 6 and counting. I think I have a real problem here.
Just finalized the latest one today. A K1111 Balladeer reissue. That and the GC should be here next week. From what Dave says, the Balladeer RI sounds even better than the Josh, if that were possible. I think I may be done ;)

Better late than never. What's the longest you've held onto one?

My original Applause would have to take that crown. I owned it for 30 years or so. But then I found the internet and this site. The rest, as they say, is history. Present day guitars would have to fall to the CEO. I've had that one for a couple of years now, and I don't see it leaving.

If you wouldn't have sold so many, I might be impressed. You would have amassed an impressive collection. I can't seem to part with any of mine.

If I didn't sell any, I wouldn't be able to afford an internet connection, or a house to put them in. (I still have the pictures though, and now and again, they come back home) Oh yeah, the latest. I think I'm keeping these guys in business.

I pretty well trust Dave's opinion on guitars. He led me the right way on the CEO, and I thank him for that.

Thankfully for me there is just one more Ovation I would like - 87 Collector (not black).

Dweez, If you find a black one get it, because there's probably quite a few owners of naturals that would gladly trade you.

Back in 1979 I bought a red flat top Applause with no pickup. It got away in 1984, pawned to get money to go home for my mother's funeral.

However I am back bought this morning an 1881-BG Adamas II w/OHSC. It should arrive next week.
