Just fyi, I bought a 1612 a few months ago that wasn't my first choice either, but now I find myself grabbing it out of my (modest) line-up more than any of the others. Originally I planned to play it while I saved money to buy a 2003 Collectors & then dump it, but I don't think I can do that now. It had a few small whiskey bruises when I got it so I'm not afraid to take it places & let other people play it. It sounds & plays really great.
Hey Paul B.- I've heard of eye doctors & throat doctors, but can your "guitar playing physician" brother prescibe something that will help with my finger-picking-ineptness-syndrome? :)
