I've been gettin' the itch again. I can't help myself. I think I'm gonna start looking to join or start a band.

I got my last necessity finished with some help on the last key pieces from Stephen.

I did find out a bunch of my line noise was coming from my old Digitech PDS 1002 diigital delay. I've had it for 20+ years, I guess it was time. Until I can get what I want, the POS that's there will just have to work.

For those who care, here's the signal chain:

Electric Guitar --> Old pre-Dunlop Crybaby --> Custom Shop Fulltone Full Drive 2 --> Vintage MIJ Pearl Chorus, then Flange, then Phaser --> Ernie Ball Jr Volume --> Cheap ass digital delay --> Amp

The RC-20XL looper is stand alone and the acoustic guitar is plugged into it. It can be swapped into the end of the chain with a simple cable. I may add a compressor to the acoustic chain as well. The acoustic usually just uses the Roland's built in effects.

Oh, on the Furman pedal board, I took a 1x6 and cut it into 3 pieces. One length at 8", and two at 4" so I could do various lengths in back if the setup changes in the future (right now, all 16" are in line back there). Stuck velcro hooks on the bottom of the blocks, and the furry part up top. Then made a "shelf" with them on the back row as I was finding it awkward to hit the buttons in back with the knobs of the front row pedals.

I'm ready to go now. Any bands needing a guitar player/singer?

...did Boeing have another garage sale?

All you really need is three chords and the Truth!

And of course a little distortion, some chorus, add a bit of delay and...

I look at this pedal display and I can't help but wonder what would happen if I plugged my ukulele into it ...

Normally, yes.
Dave happens to be about the best uke player I know personally, so I'm guessing he would be able to do something, well... not terrible.

It was just the obvious punchline.

I'd love to play Stairway To Heaven on Uke myself....

This sounds like quite a resume item, Dave.

Looks like I'll have plenty of time to work on band stuff.

I was laid off today.

Thank you Boeing Machinist Union.

Damon - that sucks!

Same thing happened to me last august. Fortunately, I was only out for a couple of months. Hopefully you'll find something in short order (or enjoy a little time off first!).

Day-um Damon, so sorry to hear that! Hopefully it won't last that long considering the economy.

What a time to show 'muscle'...

I doubt I'll be out of work for too long, but it's going to put a strain on an already tight budget due to the slow down.

I'm taking the week off though.

Good choice!

Take a breath, take a walk in the woods, go someplace you haven't had time to for a while.

Then take up the hunt with vigor and renewed purpose. (I know you know how.)

I was thinking about videoing a heav y metal ballad for you to put some words to Phil. At the same time, I'd demo the VXT.

You still up for the task?
