Location: Porterville, CA USA | New member here...not an Ovation owner - yet... I don't have a lot of experience playing Ovations (again, yet), except for an old Legend that my brother-in-law has (I don't know the particulars on it other than it's about 15 years old). I love playing it, love the sound. Kicks my old Washburn's butt!
Anyway, I noticed in another post that one model of the Elite LX will be available soon (at Musician's Friend I think) but what about the other models?
Curiously,
Matt. |

Location: Porterville, CA USA | Thanks for your responses. I found that LX info on the Ovation website this afternoon. However, I can't locate any sellers online who currently have the LX models in stock, except for the aforementioned Elite model. The music stores in my immediate area (within a 50 mile radius) are fairly small, and don't have much of a selection of Ovations...no one has any of the new LX in stock. |

I was able to place an order last week for an LX from an online retailer by sending email to their comments address. One of their reps was able to get an early part number created and have the item drop-shipped from the factory. (It's supposed to ship tomorrow, the 12th!) Price was $879 for the 1771LX-CCB. ($180 more than the 1771)
She also mentioned that they would be on their site "soon" as standard products if I wanted to wait. Call me impatient, but I just laughed, and said, "I'll take it now, thank you." My bet is they'll be available online after the NAMM show (Jan 15-18.)
You must have just missed my post about this late last week.
